Coming To The Castro Theatre..."FRIDAY NOVEMBER 18 DARK COUNTRY in 3D ...7:30 With "Hung" Star Thomas Jane In-Person!...

Join NOIR CITY’s Eddie Muller as he hosts actor/director Thomas Jane for a very special one-time-only screening of Jane’s 2009 horror-noir thriller Dark Country—finally presented theatrically in its original 3D format. In this eerie, phantasmagorical road movie, a man (Jane) awakens hung over in a motel outside Vegas, in bed with a woman (sexy Lauren German) whom he married in a drunken haze the night before. The randy pair drive off into the darkening desert … to a bizarre and unexpected fate. As a director, Jane displays a startling knack for lurid comic-book-style visuals (he was The Punisher, after all), and a savvy knowledge of film noir tropes.
DARK COUNTY IN 3D AND TO BE SCREENED AT THE CASTRO ON NOVEMBER 18,2011...AUTHOR EDDIE MULLER WILL BE PRESENTING AND MR.THOMAS JANE WILL BE THE GUEST OF HONOUR...THEREFORE,MARK YOUR CALENDAR!

The Film Noir Foundation's own Eddie Muller will be presenting one of the rare public screenings in 3D of Thomas Jane's horror-noir thriller Dark County, with the very cool Mr. Jane in person, at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco on Friday, November 18. Their onstage discussion will be filmed for inclusion in the deluxe DVD release of the film. The event will be co-presented by the Film Noir Foundation. This film was originally intended to be released in 3D, but Sony pulled back at the last minute... this will be one of the few times you can see the film as it was intended to be seen ... big and in three dimensions. Mark your calendar!
